I haven't been doing much of anything lately, except working and playing video games. I've been trying to collect all the bonus material for The World Ends With You. I really enjoy playing it, and the art is splendid, as per most Squeenix games. I would really like to start some Metriod games though. I think it's time I become a proper Metriod fan, instead of admiring it shyly from a distance. Goshdarn, those Other M videos look sweet. I wish I ... read more.

I've been busy and not very motivated to draw. Or motivated to finish the Drupal site.
Metriod! I wish I had a Wii so I could play Other M. I may try to swipe someone's copy of Zero Mission, though! I think my brother may have one...

Head over to Moon Chase to check out this sweet news! The Sailor Moon 20th Anniversary collection is up to be licensed for US and other English speaking regions. In case anyone hasn't seen the Japanese Sailor Moon Anniversary boxed sets... they are very pretty.

I'm wrapping up the end of the term right now, and I've spent a lot of the past week working on the new Pink Ink website for my class in content management systems. It's not quite done yet - I'm still working out how to format a... read more.

This was pretty fun to draw. I had a little help with the pose, but I can't remember from whom. I tried to make this similar to my Sailor Mercury fan art piece, because I've gotten some requests to do more like it. I want to color it properly.

Things are still busy for me. It's getting close to the end of the quarter, though. I hope I can wrap up the work for two out of four classes this weekend.

I drew this last year, when I was playing Okami - one of my all time favorite games. The anatomy is not so great. lol
I haven't done much work on the Drupal site, either. I figure that will be the last thing I work on this quarter. Things are getting really busy again for me.
Also, Deadmau5 rocks my world. I just bought the song Ghosts n' Stuff. ♥

So far it's been review, review, review. Last night I properly learned something that I accidentally did but didn't really understand over the weekend, which is: how to use CSS absolute positioning to overlap elements.
So we started the night by using Photoshop paths to cut out a picture. Then we had to create a layout where the picture broke the grid structure of the page. It was really fun! I went to town a little with the background... t... read more.

It was one of my favorite shows when it aired, but like so many, it did not age well. Heh. I think Jessie's outfit is pretty hideous, so I tried to come up with something nicer for her that stuck to a few of the original elements. I'm a big fan of tunic tops, so, voila.
I wanted to experiment with using heavier lines than usual. I wish I was gutsy enough to shade entire areas in black-ish. I'll get there. ... read more.

She requested some Cat x Coraline fan art. I think it's a cute pairing, so I was very happy to draw it. I put it off for a long time, first because of class, then because I hit a giant art block in March. When I launched myself back into the project, everything seemed to fall into place. I really noticed the difference in my skill level between when I started working on it and now. All the drawing and instruction has payed off.... read more.
