About Me
My name is Emily Rosen. I am a student, a web designer and developer, and an artist. I launched Pink-Ink.com, formerly www.Witched-Kitten.net, in the fall of 2009 as a place where I can blog about all my various projects including my drawing, crochet, and sewing projects. I chose the name Pink-Ink.com because it combines two of my favorite things. I absolutely love working with ink, and pink is my favorite color.
When I originally purchased space on a web host over 5 years ago, I did it so I could have a place to freely explore web design and development. The primary purpose of this site is to blog about my art, but it's also a continuing experiment. The site is not finished, and I plan to continue developing it.
Some of the things that have influenced me as a person and an artist throughout my life include books, comic book superheros, video games, and science-fiction/fantasy. In middle school I became interested in anime, and learned to draw by copying cells from the pages of Sailor Moon - my all time favorite comic. Lately I have been brushing up on basic artist technique by taking art classes and practicing every day.
